Big Mac (Wrap)

I couldn’t believe how good these tasted when I made them. They are so good and exactly the same as a big mac. – but healthier! I now always have a jar of this sauce pre-made in the fridge.

I’ve slightly adapted the original recipe from @deanedwardschef over on Instagram in that I make them on a tortilla or flatbread rather than a brioche bun. My son, loves these and has titled them the Big Mac Wrap!

I use a jar with a lid so i can make a batch of the sauce and leave in the fridge.

Serves: 2
Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 5

  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 heaped tbsp gherkins, very finely chopped
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp pickle juice from the gherkin jar

  • 500g beef mince, seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp onion, very finely chopped
  • Iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
  • 4 slices processed cheese
  • Flatbreads or small flour tortillas

  1. Make the Big Mac sauce by combining all of the ingredients in a bowl along with a pinch of salt. Leave the stand for 10 minutes.
  2. Divide the minced beef into four equal sized portions, then roll into balls. Pop into a hot pan then smash down until flat. Cook for a couple of minutes then flip and continue to cook the other side for further two minutes. (I use a small round pan and add enough mince so it covers the entire base of the pan – this way I cut in half and have a perfectly formed burger to fit inside a folded tortilla)
  3. Add the burger and cheese to the tortilla and toast lightly in the pan to melt the cheese and crisp the tortilla slightly.
  4. Build the burger by spreading some of the big Mac sauce onto the burger, add chopped onion and lettuce.
  5. Enjoy.
